Curtis Lee Corbin, Jr.

curtis-corbin_editedCurtis Lee Corbin, Jr.,  29,  of Salisbury was called to his eternal rest Friday, September 2, 2016.  He was born March 2, 1987 in Salisbury, Maryland, he was the son of Denise Handy-Moss and late Curtis Corbin, Sr.

Curtis had numerous nick names, “Little Curtis”, “CJ’, “Curt”, and his close friends knew him as “Fat Catt”.

Curtis was educated in the Public Schools of Somerset and Wicomico Counties. He graduated in 2005 from Wicomico High School in Salisbury.

Growing up he loved sports.  Curtis played football, soccer, basketball and baseball.  He loved music and dancing.  Curtis was always the life of the party with his favorite dance step “get down low.”  Curtis loved spending time with family and his children, Shy, Skye and Zy.  Curtis was a free spirited young man who didn’t mind giving you his last.

Curtis leaves to mourn: his mother, Denise Handy Moss; his stepfather, Roger L. Moss, both of Salisbury; two daughters, A’Shyah Corbin and Skye Corbin, both of Salisbury; one stepson, Zy’Aire Fields of Pocomoke, MD; two brothers, Daron Handy (Charlett) of Dover, DE and Denzel Handy of Salisbury; his grandfather, Weldon Corbin, Sr. of Princess Anne, MD; one step brother, Roger L. Moss, Jr.; three step sisters, LaToya Moss, Michelle Moss, both of Salisbury and Katoya Price of Templehill, MD; one nephew, Ji’Shawn Handy of Salisbury; a host of uncles and aunts; two special play brothers, Cedric Armwood and Bryant Horsey; a special play sister, Deidre Horsey; and a special godmother, Mabel Horsey.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary and Leroy Handy and his paternal grandmother, Joyce Corbin.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Princess Anne, with a viewing one hour prior.  A public viewing will held 2-6 PM Friday at Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne.  Interment will be in Oaksville Community Cemetery.

  1. The last time I seen you you were just a smiling and laughing. Always asking about my mom saying to tell her hi. Known you since 2000 & it was never a dull moment around you. Rest in peace Curtis.
