Micah David Burrell

micah-burrellMicah David Burrell, 27, of Princess Anne, Maryland entered into eternal rest on the evening of Saturday, October 1, 2016. Micah was born on August 1, 1989 to Veronica Burrell and the late David Burrell.

He graduated in 2007 from Brandywine High School in Wilmington, Delaware. Micah loved to work and drive vehicles; just like his dad, David. His jobs included a House Counselor and Van Driver at Dove Pointe, driver for Shore Transit and Chesapeake Waste Services, United Needs and Abilities, and more recently, a driver for Republic Waste Services in Delmar, Maryland. Micah was an avid fan of WWF and WWE.

Micah attended New Life Christian Church and Ministries at a young age and was a faithful listener to Rev. Anthony Dickerson’s prayer line. He loved his family and friends, had a contagious personality and was considered a brother by his closest friends.

Micah is survived by his only son, four-year-old Adyahnn Micah Burrell, who was the joy of his life and his mother, Airealle Sells. He is also survived by his mother, Veronica Burrell; his sister-mom, Jacqueline Harris (George), his brother, David “Smack” Burrel;  his loving niece, Ja’Nae Marshall;  his maternal aunts, Gladys Hall, Audrey Brooks (Wendell), Lillian Wells, Mattie Wells and Clementine (Teeny) Wells; great-aunt, Bernice Brady; paternal aunts, Margo Seabrook (Alfonso), Denise Burrell Johnson; paternal uncle, Dean Burrell (Val); two paternal great aunts, Serena Wright and Betty Handy; one paternal great-uncle, Sonny Bivens; a special friend, Yushanda Dillard; a godchild, Ryann “bubbles” Wiggins and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Curtis and Evelyn Wells and his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Jane Burrell.
A funeral Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Saint James United Methodist Church in Westover with a viewing one hour prior. A public viewing will be held 2-6 PM Friday at Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne.
Interment will be in Christ M.E. Cemetery in Pocomoke.

  2. The death of a loved one is hard to bear. Please take comfort in knowing that your heavenly father understands your pain as he too experienced the death of his only son, Jesus Christ. May god bless and comfort your family at this very difficult time… I’ve known you since you were a young boy… It was always a pleasure to see you smiling and greeting your customers when they would enter in rite aid… I truly thank you for being a huge help to my mother when she would come in the store.. Knowing she was legally blind you guided her and helped her find all her items she needed… She always spoke highly of you… Thank you Micah for being that sweet wonderful angel here on earth.. Tell my mom I love her and miss her! Forever rest in peace!
