William H. Jones

William Henry Jones, of Princess Anne, also affectionately known as “Little Will”, was the son of Roland Jones, Sr. and the late Lois (Carr) Jones, born on January 1, 1972 at Peninsula General Hospital in Salisbury, Maryland. He suddenly departed this life into eternal peace at the age of 45 on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

As a young boy he attended Metropolitan United Methodist Church and sang in the children and youth choir. William graduated from Washington High School and continued to further his education for a few semesters at Delaware State College.

He had some hard times in his life but overcame those obstacles. William loved to play cards, shoot pool and most of all he loved his lottery tickets. His infectious smile and the love that he showed everyone no matter what was going on in his life captured everyone’s heart. He was loved by many. He always put others before himself; if he had it, he would give to anyone in need.

In addition to his father, he is survived by two daughters, Allura Jones of Salisbury, MD and Charisse Johnson of Princess Anne, MD; one son, Akiel Jones of Georgia; two sisters, Karen (Troy) Cannon, Ella Hardy; one brother, Roland Jones, Jr., of Princess Anne; the special woman in his life, Angel Melvin; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, godchildren  and friends.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Metropolitan United Methodist Church in Princess Anne, with a viewing one hour prior.

Interment will be at John Wesley (Bowland Hill) Cemetery in Princess Anne.
