Melissa Gayle, 47, departed this life July 30, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center, in Baltimore, Maryland. Born February 9,1964 , in Crisfield, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Shirley Horsey Gale and Russell N. Gale Sr.
Her early christian foundation was received at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, in Marumsco, Maryland. Years later she moved to Pocomoke City, Maryland, still followig her christian foundation with Abundant Life Church in Pocomoke City.
Melissa was educated in the Somerset County School System, and graduated from Crisfield High School in 1984. During her high school years, Melissa did seasonal work in Crisfield throughout her summer breaks until she graduated. She then went on to receive her liscence as a Certified Nursing Assistant. During the years when Melissa was able to work, she was a committed and dedicated worker who provided tirelessly for her family. Melissa had great compassion for the children in her community and their ethnic background was not an issue. She treated everyone the same, and if she could help in any way, she would. Later, when her health began to fail she had to be hospitalized.
Melissa leaves to cherish fond memories with her three sons, Terrence Gayle, Bruce Marshall Jr. and Ryan Gayle all of Pocomoke City. One granddaughter, one grandson, two brothers, Anthony Gale of Westover Maryland, and Ronnie Gale Sr of Salisbury, Maryland. One sister, Brenda Gale of Westover. Four nephews, three nieces, two aunts, Marvel Green and Ella Mae Ames.Two uncles, Edwin and Parley Ames. A devoted friend of many years, Bruce Marshall Sr. of Pocomoke City and other friends and relatives. She will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents , she was preceded in death by one brother, Russell N. Gale Jr.
