Tommy Thomas, 45, of Salisbury departed this life on January 22, 2015 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Born June 5, 1969, he was the son of Hazel Ballard and the late Theodre Ballard.
Tommy was educated in the Public Schools in Somerset County. He was employed at Soft Touch in Salisbury until his health declined. He was an avid sports fan, he especially loved basketball. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his mother Hazel Ballard and his play mother Miss Josephine Harmon; two brothers Jerry and Terry Ballard; his twin sister Tammy Thomas; his grandmother Evangeline Coulbourne; two aunts Lottie Ballard and Reverend Doretha McDaniel; two uncles William Thomas( Bernice) and Lewis Thomas( Mae) a host of other relatives nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Rev. Doretha McDaniel will be the Eulogist. Interment will be private.
