Mother Annie Mae Milbourne, 91, of Westover, Maryland departed this life on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland after a brief stay at Anchorage Nursing Facility. She was born on February 22, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Linwood and Annie Mae Johnson.
Mother Milbourne received her education in the Somerset County Public Schools. She was employed by Green Giant for 30 years and continued to work seasonally well into her 70’s.
She was a member of the United Church of The Lord Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith, baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost in her late 20’s. She was a founding member of the Daughters of Zion and active in the ECI Prison Ministry. She also fellowshipped with Apostolic Revival Center in Crisfield, Maryland pastured by her faithful great nephew, Elwood U. Collins, Jr. during her illness.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, James Edward Johnson (Elaine) of Roslyn, PA; one granddaughter, Wanda “Cookie” Belin of Baltimore; one great granddaughter, Kelia L. Belin of Baltimore; two sisters, Maria Maddox of Fairmount, MD and Mary Jeanette Hutchinson (Alvin) of Baltimore; one sister-in-law, Cassie Johnson of Salisbury; two special daughters, Darlean Young and Sandra Milbourne, both of Salisbury; two special sons, Arthur Maddox and James Milbourne. Mother Milbourne was blessed to have many devoted nephews, nieces, and brothers and sisters in Christ, all who assisted in her care in a special and loving way.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded on death by her husband, John Henry Milbourne; one sister, Evelyn Maddox and two brothers, Charles Johnson and Earl Richardson.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 12, 2015 at United Church of The Lord Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith in Westover, Maryland. With a viewing one hour prior. Pastor Lowell Collins will be the Eulogist and Pastor Elwood Collins, Jr. will assist. A viewing will also be held 6:00 PM-8:00 PM on Friday at the Church. Interment will be at the Church Cemetery in Westover.
