Eulalia Mae Bennett

e-bennettEulalia “Eukie” Mae Bennett departed from this life into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 2, 2016. Born on August 27, 1965, she was the third child of the late William James and Ella Marie Connor.

Eukie was educated in the Worcester County Educational System and was a 1983 graduate of Pocomoke High School. Her employment included several hospitality positions in the Ocean City, Maryland area, as well as her most recent position at the Goose Creek Service Station in Westover Maryland. She was a life-long member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Pocomoke City, Maryland where she served on the Usher Board, a member of the choir as well as the United Methodist Women.

Eukie had a wonderful personality that made everyone around her smile. She was fun-loving, down to earth and loved her grandchildren more than anything else in this world. Eukie was the kind of person who wanted people to feel good around her and she had the ability to brighten up even the most depressing situation. Whenever there was a “get together” everyone would want to know if she was going to be there because they knew that she was going to be the “life of the party”. She never let negative things keep her down. Her motto was “Keep it real and keep it moving.”  She will be sorely missed by all who loved her, but never forgotten.

She is survived by her husband, John Bennett of Princess Anne, Maryland; one son, Michael Ballard of Princess Anne, Maryland; one daughter, Elisha Cropper of Salisbury, Maryland; her adopted mother, Marcylee Dedrick of Pocomoke City, Maryland, two adopted brothers, Prentiss T. Ginn of Pocomoke City, Maryland and Arthur Ginn of Salisbury Maryland; three grandchildren, Damien Bailey, Yaden Connor, and Serenity Ballard; four sisters, Angela Louis of Millsboro, Delaware, Stephanie Jones (Ervin) of Pocomoke City, Maryland, Rev. Cynthia Bonneville (Ernie) and Erica Connor, both of Snow Hill, Maryland; along with a host nephews and nieces that loved her to pieces.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one grandson, Damaion Michael Ballard and one granddaughter, Patience Connor.
A Funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Pocomoke with a viewing one hour prior.
Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.

  1. The death of a loved one is hard to bear. Please take comfort in knowing that your heavenly father understands your pain as he too experienced the death of his only son, Jesus Christ. Job 14: 14, 15 shows that God yearns to bring your dear loved one back to life. If you would like to know more about God’s promises, please visit the website jw.org. 2. To my nephew Michael and family; I cannot believe that my dearest has left us. She was always a joy to me and full of laughter. No matter what mood I was in, she always kept me smiling and we talked often. Its just so hard to understand how but only God knows best. Rest on dear Eukie. My love for you will always remain.
