Myrtle Marie Scott-Williams, 84, of Crisfield, MD, formerly of Fruitland, MD, departed this life Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Tidal Health Peninsula Regional in Salisbury MD. Born February 19, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Stanford, Horsey, Sr. and Annie Horsey.
Myrtle Marie-Scott Williams is survived by her children, Laura Ann Parker, Carolyn L. Scott, William T. Scott, Jr. (Veronica) and Vincent T. Scott, Sr.; one son-in-law, Gene Timothy Parker, Sr.; children who preceded her in death, Gwendolyn D. Scott, Calvin L. Scott; grandchildren who preceded her in death, Lakeisha M. Moten, Terrell Scott and Devante C. Monroe. She is survived by a host of grandchildren; nieces; nephews; granddaughters, LaShawndia Michelle Sheppard, Aisha K. Thomas, Ashley K. Thomas and Timothy Parker, Jr. who would come from Baltimore to check on her grandmother, Myrtle on the regular; other nieces, Robyn Adam’s of Florida and Paulette Sterling of Princess Anne. Surviving siblings, one sister, Rosetta Hall of Philadelphia and one brother, Leonard Horsey, Sr. of Crisfield. The daughter of Stanford Ira Horsey Sr. and Annie Horsey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Williams; and five siblings.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Highway Holiness Church, 27125 Old State Road, Crisfield MD with a viewing two hours prior. A public viewing will also be held 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM Friday, September, 2, 2022 at Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne, MD.
Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Crisfield.
