Antonio James Jones, 60, of Princess Anne, Maryland went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 5, 2023, at his residence. Antonio, Tony, Capone, Twolou, and Macaroni as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was born on August 10, 1962 in Mt. Vernon, Maryland to Edith Jones Hitch and the late Raymond J. Walls of Venton, Maryland.
Antonio was educated in the Public School System in Atlantic City, New Jersey and finished his education at Bennett High School in Salisbury, Maryland.
Antonio began his working career at DuoSofa in Salisbury, Maryland and then moved to New Jersey where he worked at the Taj Mai Hal Casino and Hotel as a Bartender. Tony worked at several furniture companies as an upholsterer, at Eatem Food Company as a Manager in Vineland, New Jersey, and lastly as a Cook for Thompson Hospitality located on the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) campus in Princess Anne, Maryland.
Antonio leaves to cherish his memories with; his mother, Edith Jones Hitch, Princess Anne, Maryland; his son, Antonio Scott, Jr., Vineland, New Jersey; daughter, Adrienne Jones, Baltimore, Maryland; stepson, Tristan Crowley, Baltimore, Maryland; two goddaughters, Rhonda Jones, Salisbury, Maryland, and Renita Jones, Baltimore, Maryland, sister, Desherra Hitch Johnson (Willie Jay), Tennessee; brother, DeMarco Hitch (Kimberla), Glen Burnie, Maryland; sister, Connie Jones (Gerald), Union, New Jersey; sister, Michelle “Mizzy” Gilcrest, North Carolina; aunt, Josephine Elnos Jones (Powell), and uncle, Boyd Jones, both of Vineland, New Jersey; uncle, Bruce Jones (Shirley), Seaford, Delaware; seven grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Antonio was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Walls; brothers, Marcius Hitch, Raymond Walls Jr., and Leroy Walls; aunts, Louise Walls Jones and Shirley Jones; uncle, John Walls; and grandmothers, Grace Jones and Mable Walls.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 20, 2023 at New Psalmist Nondenominational Church, 8925 Old Princess Anne RD, Westover, MD with a viewing one hour prior. Interment will be at Mount Zion Church Cemetery, Polk’s RD in Princess Anne, MD.
