De’Quan Javon Fields , Sr.

De”Quan Javon Fields, Sr. was born in Salisbury, Maryland on March 12, 1995 to Nakomi Taylor and Myron Fields.  De’Quan departed this life on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

De’Quan was educated in the public school systems of Wicomico and Somerset Counties.  At the time of his untimely demise, he was employed by the Somerset Development Center as a house counselor.  

On March 12, 2020, De’Quan married his high school sweetheart, Tamirah Evans.  From this union, two children were born, De’Quan, Jr. and Skylar.

De’Quan occasionally attended Shiloh United Methodist Church in Crisfield with his wife and son.  To know De’Quan, he loved his family.

De’Quan leaves to cherish his loving memories with his wife, Tamirah; two sons, De’Quan, Jr. and DeVaughn Fields; one daughter, Skylar Fields; his mother, Nakomi Taylor; his father, Myron Fields; siblings, Kamryn, Trinity and Trent Johnson, Mylah, Myracle and Mylan Fields; one nephew, Jahari Jiles, grandmothers, Angel Handy and Charlene Fields; grandfather, Andre (Harlanda) Fields; great grandmother, Ella Frances (Oscar) Mack; a special aunt, Keisha Banks; a special great aunt, Denise Handy (Roger) Moss; two special cousins, Jamar Hayward and Shane Banks; aunts, uncles; a host great aunts and great uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

De’Quan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Stanford (Bunky) Taylor; his great grandparents, Mary Handy, Helen Taylor and numerous other loved ones.

We missed you today, We miss you tomorrow, tears in our eyes and a heart full of sorrow. We hold on to the memories of the great times we had. We grieve for what we lost, but am grateful for what we had.

A memorial service will be held  1:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 109 North Fourth Street, Crisfield , MD.

  1. My brother from another mother we went middle school together after school we play basketball before doing are homework. Let me tell you this my brother was very talented his favorite player was Steve Nash Played On Phoenix Suns. Just know everytime i play basketball i feel your presence and spirit I will Watch Over You Brother & Sisters For You. Love You Bro By The Way I Was His Bestfriend
