Bethenia D. Christopher

Bethenia Delores Christopher, 61, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Born February 22, 1964, in Salisbury, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Quinton H. Christopher and Letha M. Cannon Christopher.

Bethenia was educated in the Public School System in Somerset County.  Bethenia started attending Somerset Community Services, Inc. on May 9, 1988, until her passing. She loved going on outings and participating in community events with her staff and peers. She especially enjoyed praise dancing and watching movies. This year, Bethenia was crowned Prom Queen at the Spring Formal a moment she was extremely proud of and cherished deeply.

Bethenia was a member of New Psalmist Non-Denominational Church in Westover, Maryland. Where she loved attending services.

Bethenia was a very kind and loving person.  She had a turtle that she loved and talked about all the time.  She would even call early in the morning talking about her turtle.

Bethenia loved spending time with her son.  She also loved going to the nursing home every other week to visit, her sister and great niece.  If the kids were not there when she arrived, she would call and ask her niece to bring them so she could see them before she left. She loved going to family gathering with her special cousin Marian Dennis and Glendon Jones, Jr.

Bethenia leaves to cherish her memory with her loving son, Dewayne Christopher of Marion Station, Maryland; her loving sister, Quintella Scott of Salisbury, Maryland; her niece, Delorse Christopher Golder (Damon) of Salisbury; her nephew, Marvin Christopher of Baltimore, Maryland; four great nephews, Devante Shivers, RonShay Trotter, DaQuan Savage, and Raquan Savage, all of Salisbury; a great great niece, Remia Savage and nephew, Roman Savage.

In addition to her parents, Bethenia was preceded in death by one brother, Donald F Christopher.
