Neressa White

Neressa White of Salisbury Maryland departed this life Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Bay Harbor Post Acute and Healthcare Center in Salisbury.  Neressa was 59 years old. Neressa was born on December 13, 1966, to Irving Lawrence Polk, Sr. and Cynthia Polk.   She was raised in a close-knit family and carried strong family values throughout of her life.

 

Neressa will be remembered as a loving mother, devoted daughter, caring sister and faithful family member. She was known for her caring nature, quiet strength and deep devotion to her loved ones.   Her memory will live through all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her two beloved sons, Tevin and Christopher White; her loving mother, Cynthia Polk Harmon (Selby); siblings, Irving Polk, Jr. (Tarissa) of  Salisbury; Janine Wilson of Atlanta, GA; and Crystal Lariosa (Scott) of Jacksonville, FL.; uncle, David Polk; aunt, Mary Milbourne; nieces, and nephews, Destiny, Dionte, Taylor, Kailey and Kyle; cousins, Karen Corbin and Alverta Polk; also, Charlene Harmon, Gerri Harmon, Anthony Harmon, Kenny Purnell, and Danny Purnell; a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Irving Lawrence Polk, Sr.; two grandmothers, Mary Christopher and Hattie Polk; aunts and other cherished family members, Lucille Jones (Oliver), Lottie Moses, Beatrice Polk, Ida Polk, Rita Polk, Jennie Chase and Joyce Ann Polk.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne Maryland.
