Michael Dion Hall, son of the late Bishop Raymond C. Hall, Sr. and Mary Bacon Hall-Bivens, was born on May 2, 1970 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He departed this life Monday, March 13, 2017 at his home. He was 46 years old.

Michael was raised in a Christian home led by his mother.  When he strayed from God while being “in the world”, he still had a foundation that helped him while trying to find his way in the world.  Later on during his teen years, Michael went to live with his father and grandparents in Salisbury, Maryland.

Michael received his education in both Somerset and Wicomico Counties.

Michael had been a member of Shiloh Youth Choir while residing in Crisfield.  He had a beautiful tenor voice.  He also was briefly a member of the Shiloh Unity Gospel Choir.

Michael was a very friendly person; he was known and loved by many.  He was very loving and kind-hearted.  He loved to talk with people, and enjoyed being around the same.

In addition to his mother, he leaves to cherish memories of him with two daughters, Morgan and Camille Hall; five brothers, Raymond, Jr., Anthony, Jonathan, Andre and Joshua; four sisters, Princess, Miracle, Toi and Cheyenne; his grandmother, Anna Hall; his grandfather, Joshua E. Cottman; his stepmother, Florida Hall; his best friend and confidante, Norvanda Sterling; several uncles, great uncles, aunts, great aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and many, many, many friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lorraine Cottman, Everette “Ed” Hall; Edward Preston Johnson and his “Pops”, William M. Bivens, Sr.

A memorial service will be held 1 PM Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Crisfield.

  3. My heartfelt sympathy to you, “Auntie Mary” and your family as you mourn the loss of your beloved son Michael.

I have fond memories of babysitting Corey, Michael and Tony when you moved back to Maryland. Thus, the “Three (3) Muskateers” seemed more like little brothers to me. It is a blessing to have and know that Michael has two beautiful daughters, Morgan and Camille as his legacy.

God IS holding all of you gently in His arms during this very difficult time. May His unyeilding love and presence be felt at this time and always. I’m there with you all in spirit and in love. Sincerely, Antoni (Tone) Bacon Sims

  4. The death of a loved one is hard to bear. Please take comfort in knowing that your heavenly father understands your pain as he too experienced the death of his only son, Jesus Christ. Job 14: 14, 15 shows that God yearns to bring your dear loved one back to life. For more information about God’s promises, please visit the website JW.ORG. Please accept my heartfelt condolence for your loss.

  5. Allah was of whom you selected being your God, no day ever went by without you giving Allah praise, he’s the ultimate God in which we came upon the shore of North America with and He’s the God in which you left this earth embracing and though He’s the ultimate decider of Life, He’s also the decider of Death. Each moment in which that passes, I often say unto Allah, I wasn’t prepared for this one and Mike always said unto me, I don’t know how much more I can handle. All of this was a great teacher unto me, as prison groom and galvanized your loyalty unto Him, pain and or suffering you did not deserve and this is the reason you departed this earth suddenly. Dear Brother, oneday this shall be my own fate, I shall accept and embrace it as the ultimate blessing, as memories shall be remanded unto all of whom loves us, I shall cherish your memory forever as I live, as my Muslim Brother I say unto your spirit left behind, PEACE BE UPON YOU, you defined the loyalty of a Muslim and their conviction unto Allah, until your physical departure… ALLAH-U-AKBAR
