Pawarnar “Wannie” Harris, 48, of Princess Anne departed this life Monday, June 5, 2017 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Wannie was born on May 25, 1969 to Mary L. Harris and the late Jasper Reddick.

Pawarnar attended Somerset County Public Schools. Pawarnar worked at McDonalds, Washington Hotel, Pizza Hut, Royal Farms and volunteered at Greenwood Middle School.

Pawarnar was a very loving, caring and comical person who loved talking about the good ole’ days. Wannie’s favorite singer was Jaheim and she loved DMX. Wannie was like a mother to many within the community. Wannie’s door was always open willing to help anyone in need whether it was needing a roof over their head or a hot plate of food. Pawarnar Harris was well known throughout the State of Maryland. As her health declined this did not deter her mission to continue to help others.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son, Shaleel Harris; two daughters, Sharneka Waters and Farah Daughtery; three grandchildren, Zaire, Zay’Mir and Zaikei Harris; her paternal grandmother, Georgia Cole; one brother, Brent Hayward; two sisters, Lowindor and Shswan Reddick and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.

Wannie held a special place in her heart for her godchildren Keisha Jones, Elexia Nichols, and Shakur Cottman. Wan-Luv as she was known, will be greatly missed by everyone whose heart she touched.

Pawarnar was preceded in death by her grandparents the late Eugene & Annie Harris and Pete Reddick.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June, 17, 2017 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Princess Anne with a viewing one hour prior. A Public viewing will also be held 2:00-6:00 PM Friday at Anthony E. Ward, Jr Funeral Home in Princess Anne.

Interment will be in Samuel Wesley United Methodist Church Cemetery in Manokin.

I hope the family will find some comfort and strength in Jesus’ promise of the earthly resurrection(Acts 24:15)and the renewed Paradise earth, where death will be no more and no family will mourn the death of a loved one.-Revelation 21:3,4; John 5:28,29; Luke 23:43.
