Anna Mae Robertson, of Raleigh, North Carolina, fought a good fight and she finished her course. She was called unto eternal glory, Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Anna Mae Robertson was the second child born to Emmitt and Lula Cotton Jr., on September 1, 1917.
She lived to be 100 years old and touched the lives of many. She grew up in Manokin, Maryland, spent her mature adult life in New York City as a book binder and seamstress, and after retirement, her aged adult life was spent in NC.
She was a member of Samuel Wesley United Methodist Church in Manokin.
The matriarch of the Robertson family leaves to cherish a lifetime of memories with: one son, Craig Robertson (Michelle); one brother, Emmitt Cotton, Jr.; two sisters, Ethel Wallace and Evenlyn Horsey; 11 grandchildren, Ca-Asia, CeMecca and Yamieka Lane, Caliph (Sharon), Bobby, Ai-Eisha, Chakenya and Jaquai Robertson, Shemeka, Lorena and William Foster; 12 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Anna Mae Robertson; AKA, Miss Mase was preceded in death by; two of her three sons, Clifford and Cedric Robertson.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Samuel Wesley United Methodist Church in Manokin, with a viewing one hour prior. Interment will be at the Church Cemetery.
