On Monday, December 30, 2019, God took Earl Reynold Lane, Jr. home. He was 61 years of age. He was the son of the late Earl Reynold Lane, Sr. and Goldey Mae Hughes. He was born in Talbot County on February 12, 1958.
Earl was educated in the Queen Anne County School System. He moved to Crisfield early in life. He worked at Southern Connection Oyster House and Pocomoke Forestry Lumber Mill. In addition, he worked at Meptomkin Bay Oyster House, where he went on fishing parties, shucked oysters, clams and won many oyster shucking contests. He was the best.
Earl “Junie Boy” as he was called by his sister, Victoria had a personal relationship with God. He looked at “The Truth of God” every Sunday. His favorite song was “The Hole In The Wall”. He loved to spin records. His DJ name was SWEET EARL. He enjoyed looking at old western movies and fishing. He has a long time friend, Shawn Ballard, who he liked hanging with.
Earl leaves to carry his memory: a son, Rideshell Earl Lane of Sharptown, MD; a devoted companion, Beatrice Ewell of Crisfield, MD; Frances Lane of Fruitland, MD; two sisters, Victoria Lane-Sherwood (Andrew) of Greensboro, MD and Faye Lane of Federalsburg, MD; two brothers, Ronnie Dennis of Grasonville, MD and Gregory Dennis of Cambridge, MD; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Marlene Steward and one brother, Renzie Dennis.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM at Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne, MD, with a viewing one hour prior.

Praying God be your Comforter in your time of Sorrow. I am so sorry I won’t be able to celebrate with you in the Homegoing Celebration but my prayer is you will be able to celebrate the life of your brother for we know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!
