Carol Annette White

Carol Annette White, 67, of Berlin, Maryland passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Snow Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Snow Hill, Maryland.  Born November 2, 1958, in Berlin, Maryland, to the late Owens and Mildred Purnell.

Carol graduated from Stephen Decatur High School, class of 1976, she later continued her journey and graduated from the Sojourner–Douglass College of Baltimore in 2012 with a degree in Nursing. She went on to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse for numerous nursing homes in the Berlin/Salisbury area for over 15 years.

When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She also loved to travel and explore new places, and watching sci-fi movies.

In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Douglas Purnell and Owens Purnell, a daughter, Shanelle White and most recently her loving husband, Gregory White.

She is survived by her children: Marlo Waters (Nicole), Oneika White, Aaron White (Annamarie) and Danielle White; her brothers, Bobby Purnell (Sylvia) and Michael Purnell (Michelle); she was a proud grandmother to Janea, Onia, Alyse, Jamere, Jeyden, Laythan, Mar’Que, Bruklyn, Gianni, Aiden, Camden, Siena, Akeen, Ellianah, Emmanuel, Arimyah, Myahle and  Kaiyomi;  a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A viewing will be held 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Friday, February 13, 2026, at Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne.

Interment will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Grace Cemetery in Venton, MD.

  3. Dear Family, I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of my beautiful cousin Carol, she was a kind thoughtful, and kindred spirit. It’s so hard to imagine she is resting with the Lord, she loved her husband and children fiercely, as she was with her Mither and father Owens and aunt Mildred, and all of her siblings! I love you Carol and I’m going to miss you so much, my Mommy cousin Lurenda is there with you also please hug and kiss her for me, we will surely see each other again, sleep peacefully love you
