George T. Joynes

george-joynes_edited_edited_editedGeorge Thomas Joynes, 89 of Manokin, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Signature Health Care at Mallard Bay in Cambridge, MD. Born April 27, 1927, he was the son of the late George and Beulah Joynes.

He is survived by three daughters, Arhemia, Ardella and Beulah; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Mae E. Dorsey; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Joynes and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Herschel, Marion and Oscar Joynes; three sisters Margaret Maddox, Helen Short and Alverta Shaw.

A funeral service will be held 12 noon Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Samuel Wesley United Methodist Church in Manokin with a viewing one hour prior. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
