Glenwood Wallace Hayward, Sr., 70, was the son of the late Clarence and Millie Corbin-Hayward. He was born March 5, 1946 and departed this life on Monday, January 2, 2017 at his home.
Glenwood was educated in the Somerset County School System and graduated from Somerset High School in 1965. He was employed at The University of Maryland Eastern Shore and retired after many years of service. After retiring Glenwood worked in various occupations, such as automotive and landscaping.
Glenwood enjoyed fishing, playing pool and watching westerns. He especially loved his dog, Ottie.
He is survived by one son, Glenwood Hayward, Jr (Sylvia); two daughters, Katrina Hayward-Paul (Gesper) and Trina King (Ronnie II); one sister, Carrie H. Fontaine (Marcus, Sr.); 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Hayward and one sister, Maeola Turpin.
A funeral service will be held 12 noon Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne, Maryland. Interment will be in Oaksville Community Cemetery in Princess Anne.
