James Linwood Stevenson, Jr. transitioned from this earthly life on July 30, 2019 at the age of 52 in the comfort of his home. He is the son of the late Mrs. Sarah Diane Bowyer, Mr. George Bowyer and Mr. James L. Stevenson, Sr. biological father. James was born on December 15, 1966 in Crisfield, Maryland.
James graduated from Crisfield High School in 1986 and proceeded into the work force. He worked for Belly C’s Seafood in Crisfield. In 1993, James moved to New Castle, Delaware to be with the love of his life and his daughter. He then continued to work in food services, retail, and PPG Glass company before he took sick in 2001.
James leaves to cherish his lovely wife, Brenda J. Stevenson of 18 years and together for 33 years, in which they created their one and only daughter, D’Arian J. Stevenson; his father’s, George H. Bowyer and James L. Stevenson, Sr.; beautiful sisters, Dawn Ray, Georgina Bowyer-Ball (Eric), Marlo Handy, Joy Ligon; handsome brothers, Everett Williams, Rodney Stevenson, Sr., Richard Handy, Brian Stevenson (Dionne), Curtis Stevenson, James Stevenson, Jr. and Shawn Stevenson; a host of family, extended family, and friends.
James was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Diane Bowyer, one brother, Malcom Stevenson, and one nephew, Rodney Stevenson, Jr.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Highway Holiness Church in Crisfield with a viewing one hour prior.
Interment will be at Ebenezer U.M.C. Cemetery in Marion Station.
