William Henry Tull, Sr.

William Henry Tull, Sr., also lovingly known as Shorty, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 29 at Anchorage Nursing Home in Salisbury, Maryland at the age of seventy-five.

He was the son of the late Helen Marie Lewis and James Clarence Tull. He received his formal education in Somerset County, Maryland. He has a long standing career at Burnett White Tire Company in Salisbury, Maryland where he retired after 30+ years of service.

Shorty was a man of faith who loved serving the Lord. He was one of the original members of the Juniorettes Gospel Choir of Dames Quarter for over 50 years. He was also a member of High Meridan Lodge #80 for over fifty years.

Left to cherish precious memories is three daughters: Matilda White, Shirre Tull (Clarence) and Joann Tull (Gregory), all of Salisbury, MD; three sons: William Tull, Jr. of Salisbury, Gregory Tull (Yolanda) of Princess Anne and Corey Tull, Sr. of Salisbury, one brother, Everette Tull (LaTasha) of Delaware, two sisters, Jeanette Smith of Berlin and Emma Wise (Charles); four sister-in-laws, Patricia Tull of Salisbury, Lucille Tull of New York, Margaret Jones of Baltimore and Essie Deal of Pocomoke; two brother-in-laws, George Atkins of Salisbury and Otis Mitchell of New York; a very special granddaughter, Kendra Tull of Baltimore, six granddaughters, four grandsons, ten great granddaughters and a host of nieces , nephews, family and friends.

Shorty was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jeanette Marie Tull, of 53  years, his brothers, Caleb Tull, James Tull and Joseph Jones, sisters, Brenda Mitchell, Wilsie Roberts, Louise Tull, Ann Marie Lewis, Grace Tull and Helen Holland; brother-in-law, Clyde Roberts one sister-in-law, Sandra Hunter and granddaughter, Tynesha Wigfall.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Princess Anne, MD, with a viewing one hour prior.
