Edward Ayers

I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Come unto to Me and Rest”       

Edward J. Ayers, effectively known as “JoeBuck” 69, of Manokin MD, departed this life on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Aurora Senior Living of Manokin in Princess Anne MD. Born November 4,1950 , he was the son of the late Walter Ayers and Irene Ayers. 

 Edward was educated in the Somerset County Public Schools and was self-employed until his health became a challenge. Edward was a member of Samuel Wesley United Methodist Church in Manokin, MD, later began to worship at Bread of life Deliverance Outreach Center, in Princess Anne MD.

 Edward leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Bill Harris (Toneisha) and Author Miles; one stepdaughter, Maybell Russell; two Sisters, Corraine Dennis and Mary Curtis; a special nephew and caregiver, Rev. Markel Thomas; a special friend, Norma Simms and a longtime friend, Ada Dutton; and a host of grandchildren; nephews and nieces.  

Edward was well known for his favorite saying “NOT GOOD”!!

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Georgianna Ayers; one sister, Romenetta Smith and one brother, Ronnie Ayers.

 A funeral Service will be held at noon Saturday, October 10, 2020 at  First Corinthian Holiness Church, 2100 McMichael Avenue, Pocomoke, MD with a viewing one-hour prior. A public viewing will be held 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, October 9, 2020 at Anthony E Ward Jr. Funeral Home, in Princess Anne MD.

  1. I’m going to miss you uncle Joe. This still seem to be unreal. But God never makes a mistake. Rest on! Joe you have fought a good fight, You have finished the course, you kept the faith.
