Evelyn Marion “Teenie” Horsey

Evelyn Marion “Teenie”  Horsey, 84, of Manokin MD peacefully departed her life Monday, February 22, 2021  at Coastal Hospice at the lake in Salisbury MD. Born May 29,1936, she was the daughter of the late Emmitt Cotton and Lula Mae Guess-Cotton. She was married to the late David Horsey, Sr.

“Teenie” is survived by her seven children, David L. “Mickey” Horsey Jr., Robert L.  “Pee Wee” Horsey (Deborah), Arthur D. “Dexter” Horsey (Christine), Phyllis L. Horsey, Anthony L. “Tony” Horsey Sr., Tyrone M. Horsey Sr. and Jervan W. Horsey; her oldest granddaughter, Mieshia Horsey; 20 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; one brother, Emmitt Cotton;  one sister, Ethel Wallace; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by nine siblings.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, March 1, 2021 at Samuel Wesley United Methodist Church in Manokin MD, with a viewing two hours prior.

Interment will be at the church cemetery.

  2. Aunt Teenie always had a smile on her face kind word to say. She loved to have fun. If she saw something and thought you can use it, she’d come driving dwn the road give it to you and say ” Now this is between us” I Always made it my business to drop by and see her everytime I came home. Take your rest with your parents, Husband and siblings. Most of all with rhe Lord.

  3. She always excepted your children as her Grand children even if they weren’t. She always had a big heart . you will be missed more than you know.
