Overseer Kathleen Moore, 81, of Upper Fairmount, Maryland gained her heavenly wings on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Tidal Health Peninsula Regional; in Salisbury, Maryland. Born February 23, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Howard Whittington and Marylou Jones-Whittington.
“Pastor Moore”, as she was affectionately called was educated in the Somerset County Public School System. She was the Pastor/Founder of Miracle Deliverance Tabernacle in Pocomoke, Maryland and served in many capacities over the years.
Pastor Moore leaves to cherish fond memories with her devoted husband of 63 years, Brother Donald Moore, Sr.; two sons, William Moore, Sr. (Cassandra) and Donald “Gene” Moore, Jr.; 13 grandchildren, LaFaya, Lavada, Rogena, William, Jr., Fanchon, Donald, Darrell, Eric, Clayton (Aisha), Sabrina, David, Latia and Joshua; 27 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; one brother, Leonard Baker; one sister, Carmalita Haviston; one uncle, Benjamin Jones; a host of other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Clayton Moore; one sister, Josephine; two grandsons, DeShawn Moore and David Thompson; one great granddaughter, Angelica Collins and one daughter-in-law, Vonzella Leatherbury-Moore.
A private funeral service will be held at Miracle Deliverance Tabernacle, 701 Ocean Highway, Pocomoke. A viewing will be held 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Monday, March 29, 2021 at the Church.
Interment will be at the Whittington Family Cemetery in Upper Hill, Maryland.

I was blessed to know her even before she established Miracle Deliverance Tabernacle. One thing she always gave was a sincere love for people. She worked well with the gifts that God entrusted in her care, and now she has received her reward! To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!. She finished well!!!!

I looked forward every time she preached at SECD for Family and Friends Day. I remember when she come to Salisbury University for the Gospel Choir anniversary and support her young people that were on the program. Pastor Moore was one of a kind she will forever hold a special place in my heart. To the family may the peace of God be with you at this time of grief. Cherish all the memories you have of her.
