Alma Christine Lewis

Alma Christine Lewis, 74, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Chestnut Hill Hospital – Tower Health, in Philadelphia, PA. Born October 7, 1946 in Crisfield, MD. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Walter B. Ward, Sr. and Alma Miles Ward.

“Christine” leaves to Cherish fond memories with two sons, Warren B. Ward, Sr. (Valerie) and Carlton “Dewayne” Ward (Renee); 14 grandchildren, Warren Ward, Jr., Ty’Quan Campbell, Patrice Ward, Maddyson Ward, Johnny Nobles, Janaya Bradberry, Leandre Lewis, Devontay Ward, Nicole Smith, Natasha Ward, Kaliyah Rogers, Katroya Smith and Mone Whitmore; several great-grand children; five brothers, Brewster Ward, Bernand Ward (Valerie), Rick Ward (Angela), Delontae Ward (Deborah) and Michael Ward (Monica); two sisters, Loetta Wilkins, Darlene Ward and a host of nephews, nieces, other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Lewis, one brother, Walter B. Ward, Jr. and two sisters, Doris Ann Sterling and Gilda Spearman.

 A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Saint Paul A.M.E. Church, Fourth St. and Broadway in Crisfield, MD with a viewing one hour prior. A viewing will also be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, May 28, 2021 at the church in Crisfield MD.

 Interment will be at John Wesley U.M.C. Church Cemetery in Marion Station.

Words cannot express how we feel we are still lost for words our heart is aching for our dear friend whom we cherish and loved like our sister We were consider the Golden Girls nickname given for we always were together not only that Alma and I became close friend when we worked together how we met been stuck to each other since, went on many trips and dine out our last outing before she got sick we went to NJ for wined and dine feast and came back home and went to eat at one of our spots Outback! that was our last outing we didn’t hear from here and kept calling we supposed to went on another trip she was looking forward too then we got the news, you could knocked us over with a feather oh our dear friend you will be surely missed each passing day God’s will you will never be forgotten for we were the Golden Girl also known as the three B R A’s Brenda Rose, Alma! to the family our hearts and love go out to you May God grant you peace in your time of grief! she loved her family with every being of her soul!
