Edna Mae Corbin Merrill

Edna Mae Corbin Merrill, 76, of Crisfield Maryland, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Tidal Health Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury Maryland. Born May 23, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Robert W. Corbin and  Cleo Milbourne -Corbin.

She leaves fond memories to cherish with: three sons Joseph Handy,  Corneilus “Mack” Merrill, Jr., Darryl “Tony” Merrill, Sr.; one daughter, Michelle Handy; 18 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Corbin, Pearl Corbin, Emma Corbin, and Dr. Gladys Johnson; one brother,  George (Mary)  Corbin; two godsons, Ronnie Campbell and Markie Green; one goddaughter, Jometta Johnson; one godbrother, George Wright, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband,  Corneilus “Mack” Merrill, Sr.; two sons,  William Handy and Nelson Handy; one grandson, Darryl “Dee” Merrill,  Jr.; two brothers,  Sammy Corbin and Russell Corbin and two sisters, Susie Hawkins and Mary Taylor.

A Funeral service will be held 12 noon Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Handy United Methodist Church in Marion Station, MD with a viewing one hour prior. A public viewing will also be held 2:00 – 6:00 PM Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Anthony E Ward, Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne, MD.

Internment will at Mt. Peer Cemetery in Marion Station, MD.

  1. RIP Ms. Edna, my sincere condolences to all of her family. She was a wonderful woman, she and her sisters were so attentive to their brother, Russell, who I had as a patient at McCready Hospital years ago. Prayers for all of you.

  2. Loved talking with Miss Edna. I always enjoyed talking with her, and what she was cooking. Prayers to her family.
