Sandra Annette Holden “Sandy”

Sandra Annette “Sandy” Holden, 62 of Westover MD, fell asleep in the Lord on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Manokin Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Princess Anne, Maryland. Born July 7, 1959, she was the daughter of Etta Robinson- Holden and the late James E. Holden.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son, David Davis; one brother, Albert Holden; two sisters, Velma Menefee (Paul) and Lachette Holden; nephews, nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her father, “Sandy” was preceded in death by one son, Jackie Dowell and one brother, Eben Holden.

A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM at John Wesley United Methodist Church in Westover, MD with a viewing one hour prior to the service. A viewing will also be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, February 28, 2022 at Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne, MD. Interment will be in the John Wesley UMC Cemetery in Westover MD.

  1. Sandy was my classmate. She was quiet and just a sweet spirited person. Class of 1977 has lost another one. Praying for her mother, and family. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can not heal. Her classmate Elder Beverly Dennis.

  3. I am still in a state of shock. We were coworkers at Wicomico for a couple of years together. No we don’t know the day nor the hour, but it doesn’t stop how it affects someone. She was a sweetheart and a good worker. Take your rest Miss Sandra

  6. I am so sorry to hear of this devastating loss. Sandy and I were classmates and more recently would see one another at the hairdresser with Miss Etta. She was a jewel and always the same—kind, gentle and loving. May God bless, keep and strengthen you all

  7. So sorry to learn about Sandy passing. She was like a sister from another mother to me. I can still hear her voice calling me “cookie”. God has you in His hands. We loved you but God loved you best. Take your rest. You will never be forgotten.

  8. Mrs. Holden was always a joy to work with, very kind and light hearted. I’ll miss you coming in to pay your insurance! My favorite memory is her always pointing me back to Jesus, even in the quick conversations… You will be missed. My condolences to the family and friends who may be dealing with this Loss, With Love.

  10. I didn’t know that Sandy had died. We were neighbors in Pocomoke City Maryland back in the 60s and 70s then they moved. Her family were very nice”Ms. Etta” &”Mr. James’.
    The family have my deepest sympathy in the passing of Sandy.
