Magnolia Vivian Steward

Magnolia Vivian Steward, 83, of Marion Station, MD,  gained her heavenly wings on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Tidal Health Peninsula Regional in Salisbury MD. Born January 7, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Edward “Toots” Archie and Evelyn Z. Cottman-Archie.

She is survived by one son, George Steward, Jr. (Anne); four daughters, Sharon Wilson (Milton), Romaine Henderson (Charles), Venessa Steward and Crystal Johnson; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two brothers, James Archie (Marjorie) and Tyrone Worthy (Naomi); two sisters, Lucille Burrows and Delores Schoolfield; a goddaughter, Jennifer Miles; four special ladies, who were like her daughters, Charmaine Collins, Gail Lankford, Betty Jean Horsey and Sheila Fisher; a best friend, Shirley Potter; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Steward, Sr.; two brothers, Thomas Archie and Thomas Worthy; five sisters, Gertrude Archie, Iris Miles, Sarah Nutter, Naomi Whittington and Lillie Johnson.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 Am Saturday, June 18, 2022 at John Wesley United Methodist Church in Marion Station, MD with a viewing one hour prior.  A viewing will also be held 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Church.  Internment at the Church Cemetery.

She would say, “girl, those bees won’t sting you” and laugh. I’ve always had such a great time when going there, so much food, fun, love and laughter!!
