Joseph Darrell Clark

Joseph “Joe” Darrell Clark, 68, of Princess Anne, Maryland transitioned from this  earthly life on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury, Maryland.  Joseph was born January 6, 1954, in Palm Beach, Florida to the late Ernestine Clark Sheppard and late Alonzo Houston.

Joseph attended public school in Somerset County, Maryland, but completed his secondary education in Belle Glade, Florida.  Upon graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1974.   He then enrolled at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore where he pledged the Gamma Phi Omega fraternity.

He married Betty White on December 12, 1995, in Princess Anne.

Joe is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Betty White Clark, 0ne stepdaughter, Natasha White, six sons, Derrick Clark (Tamara) of Port Orange, Florida, Charles Watkins (Meka) of Atlanta, Georgia, Derrick White of Delaware, Steven Baldwin (Ebony) of Apopka, Florida, Jerrod Gunn of Orlando, Florida and Joseph Baldwin (Ebony) of  Deltona, Florida; one brother,  James “Donald” Ray and 22 grandchildren.

In addition to Joseph’s parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Michele Nicole White of Raleigh, North Carolina.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 14 , 2023 at Anthony E. Ward,  Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne, MD with a viewing one hour prior.  A public viewing will also be held 2:00 PM-6:00 PM Friday, January 13, 2023 at the funeral home in Princess Anne.
