William Henry Gordy, of Pocomoke City, Maryland, formerly of Kingston/Marion Station, Maryland departed this life on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at his residence. Born June 6, 1949 he was the son of the late John Gordy and Edith Holland.
“Bill” or Daddy Kool, as he was affectionately known is survived by three daughters, Shinelle Lane, Quasheta Gordy (Shirley) and Sharaell Ginn; one son, Marcus Smith; his companion, Addie Byrd; grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin Gordy and Alphonso Holland and a host of nephews; nieces; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Gordy and his spouse, Ruth A. Gordy.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Mt. Hope Baptist Church, 4779 Big Mill Rd, Stockton, Maryland with a viewing one hour prior. A public viewing will be held 2:00 PM-6:00 PM Friday, June 2, 2023 at Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne MD.

A girls’ first love is always her Daddy . There will never be enough words to describe who you are to us , and just how much we loved you . Lovingly always referring to us as your girls , we hope you held closely to your heart , how much we loved you and admired you . This life will not be the same without your physical presence , but we know that we will see you again & that your spirit lives on.
