James “Jimmy” Leatherbury, Jr.

James “Jimmy” Leatherbury, Jr., 52,  of Salisbury,  MD  departed this life Wednesday  July 26, 2023 at his residence. Born April 13, 1971 he was the son of Marquita Bivens and James  Leatherbury, Sr.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by  his children, James Collins (Jovan), Charne’ Leatherbury (Asia) and Monta’e Bivens; two grandchildren, Noah and Naaman; one brother, Perry Leatherbury; four sisters, Inez Ballard (Shawn), Tina Leatherbury, Shedana Teagle (Dan) and Temika Wright (Dom); a host of nephews, nieces; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death his sister, Lisa Artis and grandparents, Marilyn Leatherbury and Inez Wragg.

A viewing will be held 6:00 -8:00 PM Thursday, August  17, 2023 at Anthony E. Ward,  Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne,  MD.  A Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday,  August 18, 2023 at Saint Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Princess Anne,  MD.

This man was my homie back on the days of Washington High , he and I would cut class to do two or three things: sneak to the gym and shoot hoops with the upper classmen, or go on the side of the building to do flips where none of the teachers could see us , or go down to the band room and play the drums!!! God has he angel back RIH
