Patricia Diane Brown

Patricia Diane Brown, 76, of Crisfield, Maryland departed this life on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Tidal Health Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, MD. Born February 23, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Annie Mae Brown-Whittington and Calvin Whittington and William Ward.

“Tricia” as she was affectionately known is survived by her three daughters, Flora Leatherbury, Vannessa Brown (Cecil Smith, Sr.) and Sheila Brown; four grandchildren, Tashanna Brown, Cecil Smith, Jr., Ashley Brown and Patrice Ward; three great grandchildren, Airman Javen Smith, Ja’Ron Smith and Jorryn Smith; Douglass Miles, Jr. whom she loved as her son; two  sisters, Leah “Tye” Brown and Roberta Whittington; three nieces, Tamela Gerald, Sakena Whittington and Tynesia Brown; one nephew, Deon Brown and other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Javon Brown; one sister, Aretta Brown-Ward; two brothers, Allen Milbourne, Jr. and John Whittington.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Saint Paul A.M.E. Church, Fourth St. and Broadway in Crisfield with a viewing one hour prior. A viewing will also be held 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday, October 20, 2023 at the church.

Interment will be at Mount Peer Cemetery in Marion Station, Maryland.

    I am deeply saddened by the loss of Cousin Patricia. My father Buddy Boy loved her dearly. As sad as it is on earth, what a Happy time it must be in heaven with Cousin Patricia, ,Arette,Grandma Bertha , Aunt Rosie and my father together again.   13. My friend Loretta Young has closed the doors on earth…but has open the doors to Heaven. Tricia I will miss seeing you when I would come to Crisfield. Our friend Verna Lee will be there to welcome you when you swing open the doors of Heaven. We had a many laugh when you would swing open a door when you walked in a room. 🥰
