Tyron Jerel McCready, Sr.

Tyron Jerel McCready, Sr., 50, of Marion Station, Maryland passed away peacefully Sunday, January 21, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. Born August 22, 1973 in Fairfield, Connecticut, he was the biological son to the late Deborah Borden and Robert McCready, Sr., also stepson of Eugene Borden, Sr.

Tyron was raised in Marion Station, Maryland in a Christian home.

He graduated from Crisfield High School in 1991; where he was an outstanding basketball player. After High School he became an entrepreneur of several business ventures.  He loved his family, and was always the life of the party.  He loved animals, he was a sports enthusiast and race car fan, he would travel for a race car event.

Tyron never met a stranger.  He lived life to the fullest each and everyday on his own terms.

In addition to his father, he leaves to cherish memories with:  three sons, Tyron, Jr., Tyler and Tysean McCready; one daughter, Tyasia McCready; three grandchildren, Kyler McCready. Nas McCready and Kayce Bailey; two brothers, Robert McCready, Jr. and John Borden; six uncles, Nelson Evans, Garnett Coulbourne(Kaveen), Harold Borden, Rodney Borden, Morris Borden and Norris Borden;  four aunts, Lynnette Thomas, Lavern Baker “Bake bean”, Linda Evans and Laurie Evans;  several nephews, nieces; a host of cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene “E.J.” Borden, Jr.; and his grandparents.

Special thanks to Lamont Potter, Lane Parks and all the fellas who helped during his illness.

A funeral service will be held 11:oo AM Friday, January 26, 2024 at Marion United Methodist Church, 5630 Tulls Corner Road, Marion Station with a viewing one hour prior.  Visitation will be held 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home in Princess, Anne, Maryland.

Interment will be at the Borden Family Cemetery, Marion Station.

  3. To my Evan’s and McCready family cousin tyron was cool and calm and very fun cousin and good brother and uncle and son and father and best friend to everyone that knew him and loved him so much. His smile was bright when he would walk into the room and laugh and encouragement was bright to as well. He always like to be himself and give a lot of good advice. He loves his family and friends so much. I will always cherish him and his fond memories that I had with him through my entire childhood life from a child to a grown adult as his cousin. Cousin Tyron you are no longer in pain and suffering anymore. You are deeply missed by everyone so much. I miss you so much. God has taken a good man to be with him in heaven. R.I.P Cousin Tyron. Fly high cousin tyron. Auntie Lynnette and Cousin Gene and the rest of my entire family. We are Strong and we can and will get through this tragic loss of cousin Tyron. Mccready together as a family. God always gives us hard trials and tribulations that we can handle in our lives. But we conquered it and have strength and healing together.

  7. I am so sorry to hear about Tyron. He was a good man and we always liked talking about the good times when he was a star player. He enjoyed me telling him that he still owed me 3 suicides. I guess we will run them together when I meet him in Heaven. I will miss you.
