Keyon D. Honesty

Keyon D. Honesty was born May 13, 1981 in Wilmington, DE.   He was the beloved son of Tanya Honesty and William Jones, Sr. On Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the age of 43, his life was shortened and he was summoned over the horizon to depart this life for a new one.

Keyon was raised in Crisfield, MD by his mother, Tanya and a special friend Naomi Jones Collins. He received his early education in the Somerset County Public School System. Later his received his GED.

Keyon affectionately known as “Yon” by family members and friends was very lovable, friendly and affectionate.  He was a diehard jokester, always joking around with family and friends.  He loved life to the utmost.  He had a special bond with children and helped those who needed help in whatever form necessary.  Reading the Bible was a very important aspect in his life. He was also an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan.

He leaves to cherish precious memories with his mother, Tanya Honesty; father, William Jones, Sr.; one son, Kayden Schoolfield; eleven siblings, William Jones, Jr., Darren Jones, Carol Jones, Nadine Jones, William Green, Lenora Spence, Sheena Rayfield, Sherell Corbin, Terell Corbin, Roniesha Fosque and Karen Jones; a devoted and special friend and her daughter, Tabitha Kenny; his lifelong childhood friends, Pierre Whittington and Carey Banks; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, grandfather, aunt and uncles.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Highway Holiness Church, 27127 Old State Road, Crisfield (Hopewell), MD with a viewing one-hour prior.  A public viewing will be held from 2:00 PM-6:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2025, at Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne.

  3. Bro, today I would’ve sent you a text telling you about the snow and your response was always “you’re prepared, right”? I would say you know it. We always ended with I love you! I’m still in disbelief but one thing that couldn’t be taken away is the impact you’ve made in my life. I love you forever, big bro!

  5. Man oh man…. From Woodson Middle School, to being grown men in life, until we lost touch, Keyon, you were ALWAYS a friend. After so many good memories and good times that just replay, over and over, I’m just lost for words. I could go on and on about our younger days at Woodson, and us laughing about Mr Carr always catching me doing something and calling me “Donto”… You broke me wit this one Yon… Thank you for your friendship, I’ll ALWAYS cherish it, and the many memories of you my friend.
