Willis Trent “Whip” Cottman

Willis Trent Cottman or “Whip”, 64, of Princess Anne, MD transitioned from this earthly life Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at his residence. Whip was born on April 5, 1960.  He was the son of the late Preston T. Cottman and Dolores G. Cottman.

Whip has left a legacy of love for living, love of family, friends and strangers and his best friend Brodie.  Remember the fun times with him. Share the stories. Remember to love like Whip.

A Funeral service will be held noon Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Anthony E Ward Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne, MD with a viewing one-hour prior. A public viewing will be held 4:00 PM-6:00 PM Friday, February 28, 2025 at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Catholic Charities (Seton Center, Princess Anne) in the name of Willis T. “Whip” Cottman.

It was Never a dull moment when he came around … his sense of humor was always on point!!! David & I were VERY FOND of him…. And we often referred to him as ( SNAP) …, He surely will be missed…..Rest in peace (SNAP) you are in GOD’s care ! We love you … David & Corlessa D.

  10. My buddy for life. I don’t care when I seen Whip, he was always smiling. He was loved by so many and he’ll never be forgotten. That crazy laugh of his was infectious and you couldn’t help but laugh with him. I’m going to miss my buddy. May God continue to send blessings to his family and friends.❤️
