Enola Hubbert

Enola Lee Hubbert, 82, originally from Fruitland, Maryland was born on September 30, 1942, the late Ollie Mae Cottman and Orlando Bivens.  On April 27, 2025, Enola peacefully transitioned from her earthly life to her eternal reward at Manokin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She attended public schools in Wicomico County, Maryland.  Enola was blessed with the gift of cooking. She worked for many years in various restaurants sharing her love though her exceptional skills in cooking. Enola was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Baptist Church until her health began to fail.

Mom, Mom-Mom Holy, Nola, Aunt Nolie and Enola were all the names she was affectionately called by family and friends.

She Leaves to cherish fond memories to her one and only son, who was the love of her life, George Byrd Jr. (Andrea); two grandchildren,  Andrew Pittman III, and Courtney Palmer (Kellen);  four great grandchildren, Javion, A’Aniyah, Andrew IV, Landon, and Aiden; five sisters, Jean Totten of Salisbury Maryland, Joyce Lewis of New Castle Delaware, Blanche Hill of Berlin Maryland, Elisie Stewart and Janice Watson, both of Salisbury, Maryland; two special friends, Margaret Boston and Kay Blue; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, Enola was preceded in death by, three sisters, Sheila Jones, Linda Smith and Anna Christopher; two nieces, Diana Dorsey and Ollie Cale.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Anthony Ward Jr. Funeral home 30639 Hampden Ave
Princess Anne, MD 21853.

  4. I was sad to hear that my cousin Enola had passed away. May you rest in peace in the arms of the Lord and just know that God makes no mistakes. You will be missed by many in the family as well as your friends. The last time we talked you told me not to be a stranger because we live so far apart. We smiled and hugged and Jeanny Baby said I’ll find you. SMLS Love you cuz until we meet again on the other shore.

  5. I going to miss to miss that smile she always kept on her face.Everytime I went to see her she would say to me what are you doing over here came to see you .I love her very much sleep on cuz take your rest.

  6. I worked at manokin nursing and rehab for over a year. I had the pleasure of taking care of Ms. Enola and I will never forget her smart mouth or her sassy comments. She always put a smile on my face and she was a joy to care for. I can truly say she will be missed and I had a deep love for her. Until we meet again momma, I love you ❤️
