Eric Lamont Ball, 51, of New Castle, Delaware passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 10, 2025. Eric who was affectionately called “House” was born July 7, 1974, to the late Terri and William (Billy) Jones.
Eric was a 1994 Crisfield High School graduate. He played little League Baseball and Basketball. He was employed at Handy’s Seafood, Tyson’s, and Pocomoke Lumber.
Eric married the love of his life, Georgina Bowyer Ball on August 10, 2013, and they were a devoted couple.
Eric was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for his family, especially his nieces and nephews that he loved treated as his own children.
He was a loving brother, cousin, friend, and a devoted husband. He was very fun loving and easy going and he will be missed by all who loved him.
In addition to his loving wife, he leaves to cherish fond memories with brothers, Shane Ball (Leslie) and Derrick Ball (Sharonda) and Jan Jones; sisters, Felicia Jones, Veronica Robinson and Trinette Jones; one aunt, Rose Lee Collins of Delmar, Maryland; one uncle, Joseph Handy of Princess Anne, Maryland; special cousins who were like brothers; a host other cousins, nieces, nephews, and other cousins.
In addition to his parents, Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth Lee and Harrison Ball, Sr.; brother, William (Billy Boy) Jones, Jr.; sister, Shirley “Ann” Jones; uncles, Harrison Ball, Jr., aunts, Denise Waters-Ball and Roselyn Ball.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, July 19, 2025, at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 27945 Holland Crossing Road, Marion Station, MD with a viewing one-hour prior. A viewing will also be held 6-8 PM Friday, July 18, 2025, at the church.
