Peggy Lee Jones, 74, of Fruitland, Maryland, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Peggy was born on June 15, 1951, to the late Susie P. Hill.
She grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where she formed the foundation of the values and connections that would guide her life. As a young woman, she moved to New York City, where she spent much of her adulthood. She built a life there marked by love, resilience, and joy, before returning to the Eastern Shore in her retirement years.
Known for her warmth and kindness, Peggy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her presence brought joy to all who knew her, and she will be remembered for her generosity of spirit and the way she made others feel cherished.
She leaves to mourn her son, Jason Jones, along with a host of beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Peggy was preceded in death by her mother, Susie P. Hill and her son Aaron Jones.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home, 30639 Hampden Avenue, Princess Anne, MD with a viewing one-hour prior. Interment will follow at Waters Chapel Cemetery in Kingston, Maryland.
