Owen Jackson, Jr.

Owen James Jackson, Jr., 90, of Snow Hill, Maryland gained his heavenly wings on December 3, 2025, peacefully at his residence.Β  Born February 2, 1935, to the late Mary Anthony and Owen James Jackson, Sr.

Owen was educated in the Worcester County Public School System.Β  During his lifetime he was employed as a carpenter and construction worker.

Owen was always praising God; he loved the Lord and his family.

He leaves to cherish his memories with two sons, Anthony Jackson, Sr. (Darlene) and Rodney Beckett (Debbie); three daughters, Belinda Shockley, Vanessa Bishop and Katherine Wallace; a beloved granddaughter whom he raised, Shyree Jackson; two sisters, Eleanor Thompson and Ernestine Jackson; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, nephews; nieces and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Jackson; two sons, Owen Lamont Jackson, III and Ernest Jackson; two daughters, Teresa Jackson and Pecora Jackson.

A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 2655 Worcester Highway, Pocomoke City, Maryland with a viewing one hour prior. A public viewing will be held 2:00PM-6:00 PM Friday, December 19, 2025 at Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home inΒ Princess Anne, Maryland.

  1. Condolences to the family. I have known Mr. Jackson just about all of my life. I remember him when he was a supervisor at The old Buddy Boy Poultry Plant in Snow Hill. And he worked a summer for The Town of Ocean City after his retirement. He was very straight forth and when he told you something he was very sincere.
    RIP Mr. Jackson.

  2. Farewell to my first cousin may he find rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Owen’s mother (Aunt Mary) and my mother (Freddie Mae) were sisters. He was the matriarch of our generation of cousins and lived a full life. RIP Cousin πŸ™πŸΎπŸ•ŠπŸ˜’πŸ–€
    To my family rest assure to know that to absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!!❀️

  3. What can i say. He was a great man of God always singing his praises.My mom and him singing and praising around the house all the time.He was a great carpenter and could fix anything.
