Keri Chevelle Crump

Keri Chevell Crump, 37, of Princess Anne, Maryland, was born on March 31, 1989, to the late Ophelia Waters and Kevin Wallace (Anissa).

Keri accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was called from labor to reward on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at her residence. Though her time on earth was not as long as those who loved her would have wished, she lived a life filled with love, strength, determination, and unforgettable memories.

Keri received her education through Somerset and Wicomico County Public Schools. Throughout her working years, she was employed by Subway, HomeGoods, and Cape Charles Brewing Company, while also working several side jobs. Keri was a true hustler in every sense of the word. She was a hard worker who believed in doing what she needed to do to take care of herself and the people she loved.

Keri was a woman who spoke her mind and was known for being straightforward, strong-willed, and highly respected. She possessed a heart that was bigger than words could express and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She had a unique personality that could never be duplicated, and those who knew her will forever remember her strength, determination, humor, and the special way she carried herself.

Her favorite color was blue, but as those close to her know, she always “put on for the red.” That special inside memory is just one of the many things that made Keri unique herself.

Keri was also a faithful servant of Eastside Mission Temple of God International Ministries, where she was beginning classes in preparation for baptism. Her faith was an important part of her journey, and she was taking steps toward deepening her relationship with Christ.

Keri cherished her family and treasured the moments spent together. She especially enjoyed spending time with those she loved and playing cards. Whether through laughter, conversation, or simply being together, Keri had a way of creating memories that will remain close to the hearts of those who knew her.

Keri leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and memories to be cherished by her father, Kevin Wallace (Anissa); Keith Crump and Willie Russel; and her two beloved children, who meant the world to her, Za’liyah and Q’Mir Crump.

She leaves to cherish her memory her brothers, Tremayne Waters (Tiffany), Tremont Wright (Keva), Kevin Wallace, Jr., and Keith Crump, Jr.; sisters, Ashley and Malika Wallace; aunts, Donzell Walker and Vivian, Joan Hayman; uncles, Gregory Waters, Wayne, Sr., Syvester, George Hayman, and Calvin, Sr. (Diana) Whitney; uncle-in-law, Master Sergeant William Fields; and godson, Zylei Gayle.

She will also be lovingly remembered by her two favorite devoted cousins, Camesa and David Phillips; bonus siblings, La’Tanya, Danielle, Ta’Shena Burton, Sierra Harcum, Koneca Dixon, Cotisa, Lotory Harmon, and Trennel McClellan, Kennishia Douglas, De Roberts, Cleo Charles, Tylisha Sullivan, Diameka Fletcher, Darnell Handy; bonus mother, Sherry Kinsey; Spiritual Mother, Apostle Cassandra Carter; bonus aunts, Jackie Winder and Val Crump; and her very special nephew, Tremayne Waters, Jr.

Keri will forever be remembered by her special friend, Qrishawn Crump; her two special bonus children, Jcee and Jhalen Crump; along with several cousins, other relatives, friends, and loved ones whose lives she touched along the way.

Keri was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Ophelia Waters and Son Ky’Ayr Savior Crump; aunts, Dorothy Mae Waters-Jones and Amelia Fields; and uncles, Isaac Hayman and William Dashields, also both maternal and paternal grandparents.

Her Legacy

Keri’s life was a testament to strength, resilience, love, and determination. She was not perfect, nor did she ever pretend to be. She was simply Keri—bold, outspoken, hardworking, loving, and unforgettable.

Those fortunate enough to have known her will carry pieces of her with them forever. Her laughter will echo in memories, her strength will inspire those she leaves behind, and her love will continue through her children, family, and friends.

Although our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort in knowing that Keri’s life made a difference. She touched hearts, created memories, and left an impression that time will never erase.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Metropolitan United Methodist Church, 30522 Dr. William P. Hytche Boulevard,  Princess Anne, MD with a viewing one hour prior. A public viewing will be held 2:00 PM-6:00 PM Friday, September 4, 2026 at Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at John Wesley (Bowland Hill ) Cemetery, Princess Anne.
