Carolean, as she was known to family and close friends, early education was in the Johnson Neck One Room School House, then Stephen Long and graduated from Worcester High School. She loved to make baby blankets for the new babies of the family and playing dominoes (chicken) at the Mac Center at the Pocomoke Health Department. Before moving to the nursing Home, Carolean, loved sitting on her porch watching the traffic go by. During her stay at Peak Health Care at Hartley Hall she loved playing bingo and winning gifts to give to her family. Carolean, enjoyed visiting with the other residents, attending church services, receiving communion from St. John A.M.E. Church and other churches that offered it to her.
