James Stanley Lane, Jr.

James Stanley “Petey” Lane, Jr., 72, of Crisfield, MD went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at his residence. Born August 23, 1951 he was the son of the late James Stanley Lane, Sr. and Annie Virginia Bonner-Lane.

“Petey” leaves to cherish fond memories with his siblings: Apostle Cornelius Lane (Glendora), Margie Lane, Laverne Brown, Eric Banks, Isaac Banks (Dawn) and Robert Lee Hutt; eight nephews, Isaac Lane (Kashira), Raashan Lane, Ty Lane (Pia), Stanley Whidbee (Tracy), MarKeith Lane, Belmont Johnson, Shane Banks and Jalen Banks; five nieces, Orlena Wilkes (Ed), Keisha Cottingham, Nicole Lane Thomas (Shanta), Syreeta Lane and Radina Johnson; a host of great and great great nephews and nieces; cousins; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Zadie McKintry and one brother Stanley Johnson.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Crisfield High School and Academy, 210 Somerset Avenue in Crisfield with a viewing one hour prior.  A viewing will also be held 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2023 at Enon Baptist Church of Deliverance, 331 Tyler Street in Crisfield.

Interment will be at the Family Cemetery in Crisfield.

  9. Whenever he talked about anything u listened closely.i could tell at a young age he was educated and saw the world.when this man talked about theology or the holy trinity it gave me a little more than a mustard seed of faith.
