With profound sorrow and deep love, we announce the passing of David Dahill, who departed this life on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the age of 68. David was a man of strength, honor, and quiet faith. A proud Navy veteran and devoted member of his family, he lived his life guided by discipline, purpose, and a quiet resilience that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He carried himself with wisdom and integrity, always offering guidance, support, and steady reassurance to those around him. Whether through his service to his country, his devotion to his beliefs, or the love he gave so freely, David’s life was a reflection of commitment, sacrifice, and compassion.
He will be remembered not only for what he did, but for who he was, a man of principle, a source of strength, and a presence that brought comfort and stability to those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy is one of love, faith, and enduring impact. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit lives on in the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Dahill Sr.; his mother, Shirley Dahill; and his sister, Kate.
David is survived by his beloved wife, Carmen Dahill; his children, Shirley Carter, David Dahill, Jr. (his wife, Cassidy), and Mary Ann Harris; his grandchildren, Asher Dahill, Alisdair Dahill, Mitney Lynn Harris, Austin Harris, Serenity Ilame, Maradona Ilame, Kitana Acosta Barbosa, and Christopher Maag; and his great-grandchildren, Rashad Tilghman, Angel Ilame, Maradona Joseph Ilame, Allen King, Aubrey Arcement, Makayla Arcement, Aspen Rake, Abigail Rakes, and McKenzie Rakes; his brothers and sister, Richard, Robert, Ronald, Mike, Shawn Dahill, and Dawn Guinnip, along with their spouses, as well as many nieces and nephews. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family at Maryland Environmental Services at ECI Powerplant.
