Stanford Dorman Taylor

 

Stanford Dorman Taylor, 60, of Crisfield, MD departed this earthly life on Sunday, March 15, 2020 after a short battle with stomach cancer. Born March 20, 1959, he was the son of Ella Taylor Mack (Oscar) and the late Stanford Dorman Maddox.

Bunky was preceded in death by his grandmothers:  maternal, Lillian Mae Ames and paternal, Evelyn Doanes; three siblings, Cozetta Marie, Terry Thomas, and Leroy Sidney Taylor.

He leaves to cherish his memory:  his mother, Ella Taylor Mack (Oscar) of Princess Anne; three daughters, Nakomi J. Taylor of Salisbury, Stacy J. and Stephanie E. Taylor of Baltimore; four grandchildren, De’Quan J. Fields, Kamryn N., Trinity T., and Trent D. Johnson; two great grandchildren, De’Quan J. Fields, Jr. and De’Vaughn Lafayette Curtis Fields;  three siblings, Preston L. Taylor, Sr. of Aberdeen, Ralph M. Taylor, Sr. (Tameka) of Princess Anne, and Cheryl T. Cornish (Eric) of Upper Marlboro; two cousins raised as siblings, Jometta Johnson and Kevin Styles; four aunts, Sheila Mae Ames, Mable Finney, Marcella Styles, and Equilla Stokely;  three uncles, Willie Ames, Javan Styles and Thomas Savage; and a host of other relatives and friends, including one lifelong companion of 20 plus years, Audrey Banks.

A public viewing will be held Friday, March 20, 2020 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Highway Holiness Church in Crisfield.

An immediate family only funeral service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Highway Holiness Church in Crisfield.

  1. I lost a good friend and great worker . I will never be able to replace bunky.we had fun every day we worked together. He was family to me. my kids have known him there whole life. They grew up around him. He would always bring my little girl candy fire balls. They both liked them. Wish my son had been able to work with him longer. Would have been a great influence for my son. Bunky my hearts broken. Going to miss you brother. Love ricky

  3. Sorry I did not get the chance to see you before God called you home. We did have some fun, and I remember when we worked together from Crisfield to Boston we were the best Security Guards at the hospital. Classmate, Friend, and Soul Brother, you’ll be missed. Crip!
