  7. Sherwood was like an Uncle to my sister’s and I growing up…we met him when our mom started working at Scope back in the 80’s.
I couldn’t call him a family friend because in our hearts he’s always been our family.
When my late momma was fighting cancer, he was there for our family throughout.
In the later years whenever I would see him I’d get my hugs and he’d always ask about my sister’s and my daughter.
My best memories of him are being introduced to the old WJDY R&B station on the few occasions he’d take me to school after appointments, and his famous macaroni and cheese.
I know Sherwood has gone to his reward because he was a good man, through and through. I know my Momma is glad to see him in Heaven.
My sympathy and prayers with everyone who loved him.
